On 10 March Pea Pod came into care at PFT. He is 2.45 kg and a very sick little boy. A double MRI has indicated that this little guy has two serious issues. His back legs do not function properly because of 8 bulging discs against the spinal cord. One top of that, a cyst is pressing on the opposite side of the spinal cord. Surgery is not an option. Also, a scan of his brain and a sample taken has revealed a mass. Meningitis has been diagnosed and our care plan is now palliative. He will begin medication of steroids and this should improve things temporarily.
