Mikey – one of PFT’s biggest heartbreaks. He arrived to PFT under Duty of Care along with Buttercup. Mikey had a bad heart but still had so much more to give. His teeth were a terrible welfare case and it was decided to take the risk and give him the surgery to rectify the dental disease. Great care was given and a team of staff assisted with the surgery. All went well and Mikey came through with flying colours. He was due to travel up to The Farm to spend the rest of his days with Foster Mummy Carol. The day before his departure, Mikey had a heart attack in the middle of the garden. He was rushed to the specialist hospital and sadly given his wings. He was only in care for six weeks and broke Mrs PFT’s heart.
