Basil Brush – As I write this….. his little face appears in my mind and the sadness I feel is still as raw as the day he left us. Basil Brush was PFT’s very first euthanasia and the hardest. We all thought he was just timid at the pound. Within 10 mins of arriving into care, it was clearly obvious this little dog had severe neurological issues. For 10 days we tried our best. The strain and stress of dealing with a dog such as him put too much stress into our lives, our home, our marriage and own dogs. Basil Brush knew he was sick. After he would snap out of each episode (which came every few minutes), he would look at us with his big eyes, begging for forgiveness. We brought him home to rest where he is buried lovingly in our garden. He still makes us cry…
